I was born in Guyana and moved with the family to the UK when only five years old.  My childhood love of Cornwall was re-ignited when we moved to Bosulval, which is halfway across the Landsend Peninsular, Penzance is to the south, Zennor to the North and St Ives only 20 minutes drive away.  We set up a walking business and I started to paint.  Walking is a constant pleasure but painting is my passion ..

Walking over the moor ... Running across the beach ... Digging holes with the dog, sandcastles with the children .. Sitting and watching the world go by

Catching glimpses of reflected light and colour ... Bright scarlet, pinks and blue tangled with thorny vibrant yellow ... Big sky overhead, explosions of clouds - sometimes gentle sometimes fierce ... Twisted gates long forgotten and unmaintained

Cows with strong bodies and mellow moods curiously watching and waiting ... Lofty Carns tower and dominate ...  The flooded land forms a glistening lake close to the quarry ...  St Ives golden sands shine in the background

Small cottages hide the coming and goings of the people ... Ding Dong Mine stands proud to remind us of former glory ...  Standing Stones and Quoits question our knowledge  ...  Boats and harbours seem frozen in time

My motivation, to share these moments, these feelings  ... The camera points, twists, turns, zooms and focuses  ..  The pencil makes tracks - cuts into the paper  ... The brush dips, dives, mixes and marks  ...  My passion
