I started to paint seriously in 2002 using water-colour, acrylic, collage and mixed media.  During this time my camera was always at my side so it seemed natural to photograph capturing the landscapes and images that I wished to paint.

Photography however has now become another passion.  My paintings and photographs are diverse, based mainly on landscape - naturally bold shapes, outlines and forms contrasted against 'man made ' features.  I also travel to photograph and paint other 'wild' and remote areas in the UK and abroad.

My studio in the garden was created with the help of family and friends, loads of insulation, new windows and massses of white paint.  I am now content to work at my easel or on large canvasses on the floor after returning from walks and field-trips.
